About iMiN in Windsor-Essex

The current state of Ontario's economy has placed significant pressure on manufacturers. Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC Canada) continues to receive requests from manufacturers, for greater access to knowledge, expertise and resources they need.

Utilizing EMC's strengths in network development, along with our strong relationship with Windsor Essex Economic Development we set out to establish local online manufacturing networks which are linked to other sectors, resources and stakeholders to create a province-wide series of inter-connected manufacturing networks that facilitates and promotes awareness, excellence and innovation.

This online network will deliver on the three key requirements requested by the manufacturing focus group, while addressing the following underlying and ongoing challenges:

1. The need for manufacturing job creation and retention.

2. Improvements in innovation.

3. Awareness building for improved competitiveness.
