Ontario Automotive Mission to China, May 24 - June 1, 2012
The 10th China (Guangzhou) International Auto Parts Expo, May 28-30, 2012

The International Trade Branch, in partnership with Embassy of Canada inChina, the Consulate General of Canada inGuangzhouand the Canadian Commercial Corporation Shenyang Representative Office, is pleased to inviteOntarioautomotive parts companies to participate in the Ontario Automotive Mission toChina.

The mission will include exhibiting at the 10th China (Guangzhou) International Auto Parts Expo (http://www.ciape.cn/index2.htm), May 28-30, 2012 inGuangzhou, one of the major automotive parts shows inChina serving as an excellent procurement platform for both foreign and Chinese automotive parts suppliers. Prior to the Expo, the Mission will visit two important auto clusters in Northeast China, Shenyang and Jinzhou; and following the exhibition, the Mission will participate networking programs in Guangzhou with Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group and in Shenzhen with BYD Auto - China's leading EV producer.

 Missionactivities include market briefings, presentations at technical seminars, showcasing opportunities, one-on-one meetings, networking events and company/site visits to auto OEM and Tier 1 auto parts manufacturing facilities.Missionparticipants will gain valuable market information, explore potential partnerships and meet with key clients throughout the mission.

Ontarioauto related companies who wish to develop business contacts, establish a footprint in the Chinese market, seek for partnering and investment opportunities offered by Chinese suppliers in conjunction with the global supply chain opportunities offered by major vehicle producers located inChinamay benefit from theMission.

If Ontario firm requires funding support for the participation of thisMission, you may consider one of the three funding support programs:

 Export Market Access (EMA) is an initiative of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, with support and funding from the Government of Ontario. It is designed to assist small to medium size organizations (SMEs) to access and expand their growth in new foreign markets. Companies having 5 or more employees and annual sales of $500,000 or more may qualify for a grant covering up to 50% of eligible costs incurred to develop export sales (up to C$30,000).  Export Development Canada (EDC) offers Export Express Credit to companies in the form of unsecured loan of up to $50,000 with flexible repayment terms of up to two years. The loan can be used to cover travel costs and other related expenses. For more information, please visit: http://www.edc.ca/english/financing_export_express_credit.htm

 Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) also offers Market Xpansion LoanTM to companies. The up to $100,000 long-term loan assists companies to finance their business expansion of the domestic or foreign markets.  For more information, please visit: http://www.bdc.ca/en/solutions/financing/Pages/fs_market_expansion.aspx

 Although registration deadline is February 24, registration may close early as long as we have 8 confirmed registrations. Therefore, please complete and send in your complete registration form as soon as possible. Registration is on a "First Come, First Served" basis.

The document will provide some basic information about the mission, the Expo and the planned programs. Please note that the draft itinerary is subject to change.

The participation fee (CAD1,000) is per company based, not per person based. Participation fee is due to us (receive by us) by Mar 9, 2012

Please complete the form, sign it and send it back to me (via email or fax) as earlier as possible, but no later than Feb 24 (Fri) to secure your show space in the Ontario Pavilion. Companies can make changes on participant(s) details after registration deadline, but the changes might not be reflected in the Mission Directory / Expo Exhibitor Directory if the updates are too close to the Expo.

This document will be shared with our stakeholders and partners inChinato help them organize and pre-arrange networking seminars, roundtable discussion, one-on-one meetings and site visits for theMission.

 Please pay attention to the description of your products/technology/services and whom you'd like to meet at these events. If you are specialized in one of the many

company products or if you intend to promote 1 or 2 specific products during thisMission, please articulate the products/technology and specify whom you'd like to meet. If you have a specific target partner inChina, please provide the name and contact in the company if possible. The better we (including trade commissioners and Chinese partners) know about your product/technology and your potential customers, the better we can match make you with potential business partners inChinaat our networking events.
